Bella Brodie introduces the Willerby Astoria, a home that’s sure to turn heads…

We love it when a new home is launched, and that’s doubly the case after a slightly quiet year on the launch front. We’re now starting to see a few more new models stream into the line of sight though and, from a Willerby perspective, the Astoria has been long-awaited so we were keen to cover it as quickly as possible. In fact, it’s so hot off the press that it’s officially launching just as Park Home & Holiday Caravan starts to hit the magazine stands, so we’re thrilled to be able to bring you an early virtual tour through our pages so quickly.

The Astoria is a launch worth waiting for, with striking design, clean lines, bold prints, premium finishes and a lovely feature wall to enjoy, so it would undoubtedly be a real treat to stay in or own. This contemporary holiday home maximises space throughout with the help of smart design solutions that focus on ease of use, and a great finish, with everything flush to one eyeline and incorporated where possible.

ACCOMMODATION
The Astoria is available in two- or three- bedroom versions. The two bedroom version shown here sleeps six thanks to the sofa bed in the lounge and measures 40ft x 13. The three bedroom model measures 42ft x 13, and the main difference between the two is that the bathrooms are made a little smaller in the three-bedroom model to allow for another twin bedroom. That then takes the sleep capacity to eight with the sofa bed. Both are available in a BS 3632 residential specification. On entry, a linear kitchen feeds through to a living area with dinette and lounge space. The family bathroom has a shower, and the master bedroom boasts an
en suite shower room too.

EXTERNAL FEATURES
Standard cladding for the Astoria is light grey aluminium with white windows and doors, and here it’s shown in barnwood CanExel™ with graphite windows and doors plus optional spotlights under the canopy. The offset roof adds interest externally, and has the additional benefit of adding to the feeling of space internally, allowing the angled feature window to add further character and interest.

INTERNAL APPOINTMENT
The Astoria has a contemporary vibe that’s perfect for relaxing in, yet also perky and energising. Grey and oak base notes in the fixed furnishings are contrasted with colour splashes in terracotta blocks and patterned, geometric prints in the cushions and window dressings. Light oak flooring and cupboards add an earthy feel, and there are visual features which accentuate this in places. Good attention has been paid to the lighting and ambience, and we think this could well be a model which is particularly cosy at night-time.
