At PH&HC, we get very excited when we see a manufacturer and park operator working closely together to create an innovative new holiday lodge option. As soon as we spotted images of Tingdene Homes’ Beach Retreats arriving at one of Darwin’s beautiful new parks we simply couldn’t wait to find out more.
Darwin Escapes has 20 handpicked locations all over the UK, each offering a unique experience, but all with the same core ethos of creating memories that last a lifetime.The operator believes in making memories that last, taking time away from the daily grind to relax and have fun.
That’s more than just words for Darwin, and translates to a really relaxing and enjoyable experience for the holidaymaker.
So, getting its next lodge option right in a way that surprises and delights the occupant is an absolute priority for a park group so focused on delivering the very best to its customers.
The Beach Retreats we spotted were arriving at their new Sandymouth Holiday Resort in Bude, so we thought we’d take a tour of these lovely lodges to find out what was behind their intriguing exteriors.

Sandymouth Holiday Resort is located in Bude, a bustling seaside town along the North Cornwall coastline, boasting breath-taking views of the dramatic Cliffside and beautiful ocean.
Currently in the last stage of a major renovation, Sandymouth Holiday Resort will include features such as archery, body zorbing, fencing and laser clay shooting, along with its cheeky Charlie Bear and his team of rangers who organise never-ending fun for the entire family in the refurbished entertainment lounge.
Along with the daily activities for the children, the rangers will also provide home-grown entertainment shows and games, as well as a full programme of cabaret and musical performances throughout the season.
Sandymouth also boasts a completely refurbished indoor heated swimming pool, as well as a brand new Go Quest walking trail around the park, with lots of benches and picnic areas to stop and admire the surrounding scenery.
Along the trail there is also the outdoor gym and adventure areas, which include a log twister, parallel bars, large tyre traverse and much more!
