A new era in lodge design. We get the lowdown on an exciting new lodge with a raft of new design innovations that are sure to get people talking…

Actually Lodges is a manufacturer with two arms but both with a unified aim: delivering stunning new concepts in holiday living to the luxury lodge market. We’ll continue to take a look at its lodges as more are released but, for now, our focus is on Accoya, which was built at the company’s main facility in Whitland, South Wales.

While many lodges will be crafted for Actually Group’s parks, the manufacturer also has a number of build slots available within a reasonable timescale for external parks and individuals looking to purchase a holiday home for their own land. So, as a manufacturer, the company is well worth having on your radar. The example shown here is sited at Keld Spring, in Yorkshire.

INTRODUCING ACCOYA
Accoya heralds this new era perfectly, demonstrating Actually’s forward path with architect-led designs while holding environmental values and sustainability at its core. It’s fair to say that it does that on a wider basis in more ways than one, with plenty of fresh design points we haven’t seen used elsewhere, use of recyclable materials and soothing, natural colourways.
With expansive living spaces internally and externally, Accoya is perfect for all the family to enjoy a relaxing home-from-home, all year round. Built to residential specification BS: 3632 to a 45ft x 22 core footprint, this model is available as a two-or three-bedroom option, with a choice of interior finishes.

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
There is an option to add customisable outdoor terraces to Accoya, which are perfect for al-fresco dining and entertaining all year round. If you’re looking to add an additional relaxation zone, you can choose a hot tub, and soak up the views of stunning North Yorkshire while having a soak and sipping on your bubbles.

EXTERNAL APPEARANCE
Accoya benefits from a choice of external cladding systems such as the sustainable, low-maintenance cladding used here, which has a minimum expected lifespan of 60 years. The thick and thin strips in differing shades are striking, and the energy efficient windows and doors are designed to help deliver U-values exceeding BS: 3632 standards.

The steel roofing is a departure from the norm and looks really smart, particularly when combined with this choice of cladding, and we understand the roof is sealed firmly with rubber coating underneath offering dual protection against the elements.
