Joining in the celebrations for St David’s Day, leading holiday home dealer Salop Leisure, whose Shrewsbury headquarters stand at the gateway to Wales, proudly flew the Welsh flag this year. Some of the staff even wore traditional Welsh costumes and the company’s Love Coffee restaurant also served up a special menu with a flavour of Wales, including Welsh cakes, bara brith and leek-and-potato soup.
The company, which has other sales centres in Machynlleth and Stourport-on-Severn, spends thousands of pounds every year promoting Mid Wales as a holiday destination for existing owners and prospective buyers of luxury holiday homes and lodges. It owns nine holiday home touring parks in the region and supplies caravans to more than 200 parks across Mid Wales and the Heart of England.
