Omar Group is one of the leading park and leisure home manufacturers in the industry, and to cement that position further they have now announced an exciting move forward in the creation of a Group Design team.
The team will be led by Mike Clifford as Head of Group Design, supported by Anysia Hopkins as Group Design Manager, and assisted by Lola-Rose Gibbons as Group Designer.
Between them, they will manage the existing Omar, Wessex and Regal ranges, and will lead the new product development processes to keep Omar at the forefront of customer expectations.
Mike and Anysia have led Regal’s product development and bring a successful history of product development in the caravan industry, culminating in re-launching the new Regal range, and updating this for 2023 with four exciting new models.
They include the brand-new Cranleigh Lodge and Retreat models, and the refreshed Artisan Lodge and Charmouth; recently on show at the Regal open week where they received exceptionally positive feedback resulting in large number of orders from enthusiastic buyers.
Mike said: “Our aim is to make Omar, Wessex, and Regal models the number one choice for our customers in each sector, especially in style and innovation. The new Regal designs have been created by Anysia and myself, built upon our experience of working together over the last 5 years. The addition of Lola into the team puts us in a strong position for the group; we will now have involvement in all the group designs and are looking forward to the new challenges ahead.”
Anysia added “There’s nothing more rewarding than physically walking around the end homes and seeing the reaction of our customers. We wanted the Regal designs to wow our customers and stand out from the crowd. A lot of time was spent on researching trends, generating scheme ideas and sourcing new products. We also work incredibly closely with internal departments and suppliers to achieve the exact result we are looking for.”
Lola has been working on a variety of projects for Omar and Wessex, including updates to the Woodbury letting lodges, and developing the new Heron lodge, also marking a significant modern lift to the interior design styling. She said: “There are many within the Omar Group who share the design group’s passion for good design, and we work across several disciplines. For example, we have a cabinetry expert in-house, and we have been working with him to look at new styles, shapes and form to create something different. Being part of such a great wider design team means we can bring the best of ideas together, along with the most interesting discoveries. It’s great to be a part of it, there’s a real buzz in the air when we are together and that’s very exciting.”
Group Chief Executive Graeme Craig said: “The team have already worked to refresh models for 2023 and we’re thrilled with the results so far. These new models are already performing well from a sales perspective so we’re looking forward to seeing what they come up with next! Our aim is that they should sell pretty much instantly on parks, and we are confident that every new design released will do that while also offering something for everyone. The formation of the Group Design Team marks the start of a new and exciting era at Omar.”
