The caravan industry dinner raised over £35,000 for children in East Yorkshire.

Thursday 3rd November saw caravan manufacturers, customers and suppliers unite for an evening of charity fundraising.

The dinner which was held at the National Railway Museum raised over £35,000 for children living at a disadvantage in East Yorkshire.

Charlotte Farrington, the chief executive of the Yorkshire Children’s Charity said: ‘We can’t thank attendees enough for their generosity. We’ve pledged that the money raised from this event will help children in East Yorkshire living at a disadvantage, due to sickness, disability, or financial circumstances.’

Richard Jones, Chairman of HERCMA said ‘It was great to see the industry come together to raise both money and awareness for such a fantastic charity. It’s an exciting time for the industry with The Great Holiday Home Show set to return next year.’

It was announced on the evening that the outdoor show of holiday homes, caravans, and motorhomes, will be returning next year. Rebranded as The Great Holiday Home Show, the event is set to run from Friday 8th September to Sunday 10th September at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate. The public event followed by a trade-only show from Tuesday 12th September to Thursday 14th September.
