Helping to preserve the environment, two sister businesses have demonstrated their commitment to reduce their carbon footprints, by achieving the ISO 50001 international standard for energy management.
Morris Leisure owns six caravan parks in Shropshire and North Wales while Morris Lubricants is Britain’s leading family-owned lubricants manufacturer.
Both companies are based in Shrewsbury and are part of Paterson Enterprises.
The companies have installed solar panels to generate renewable energy to reduce their costs, replaced traditional lighting with LED lights, and installed light sensors and more energy efficient heating boilers.
Caroline Walton, regulatory affairs manager, said both companies had committed to reducing their carbon footprint by cutting energy consumption and continually identifying ways in which they could improve efficiency.
