We find out more about Staffordshire site St Christopher’s Drive Mobile Home Park, in Tamworth, which recently came up for sale…
Savills, on behalf of Flitwick Securities Limited, has been instructed to sell the long leasehold interest in
St Christopher’s Drive Mobile Home Park, in Tamworth with a guide price of £1 million. There are approximately 56 years remaining on the lease term, which was granted by Tamworth Borough Council.
The site extends to approximately 3.77 acres and provides 48 residential plots – 22 single units and 26 twin units – which are all owner-occupied.
The park benefits from two areas of green space and plenty of parking spaces for residents and visitors, either adjacent to each home or in allocated hard surfaced parking areas. There may be potential to develop one or two additional park home pitches in the future, subject to planning permission. The business produced in excess of £115,000 in income in the last financial year.
St Christopher’s Drive Mobile Home Park is located to the south of Tamworth town centre, with direct access off the A51 (Peelers Way). The property is situated in Two Gates, a suburb of Tamworth, with good access to a local secondary shopping parade and to out-of-town retail parks, which provide a range of retail and leisure amenities. It also benefits from being in close proximity to the Coventry Canal and the River Tame. It is bordered by residential properties and mature trees that provide pleasant surroundings for the residents of the park.
Kay Griffiths, associate director in the leisure and trade-related team at Savills, said: ‘This is a well-presented residential mobile home park with good access to local amenities and steady income.
‘The market for mobile home parks continues to be competitive because of its predictable income profile and resilience experienced through the pandemic.’
