I love this time of year! The sun is shining, you’ve got your summer holidays to look forward to and half the country seems to be living outside in their gardens (or, in my case, the pub beer garden!).
July’s an even better month if you’re fortunate enough to be a part of the park home community. There really is no better time to see the nation’s best park home estates.
Our green-fingered fraternity would put Alan Titchmarsh, Monty Don and the landscape gardening professionals at the recent Chelsea Flower Show to shame!
Park home plots have got to be some of the most spectacular in the UK and there’s no nicer month to see them in full bloom!
Then there’s the fantastic community spirit. Park home residents will get together for a cuppa or a natter throughout the calendar year. They’ll also organise days out, park trips, coffee mornings, bingo nights and the like but the summer time perfectly encapsulates this sociable feeling. It’s no wonder people are flocking to buy park homes right now!
All of these benefits are clearly in evidence at the residential parks we visit in this issue. Our expert reviewers travel to Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Durham to get the lowdown on a quartet of brillant parks. Our window into these happy communities will whet your appetite for a park trip or two of your own.
Before you fire up your motor or board the nearest National Express coach, make sure you do your homework! Again, Augus’s a great month to plan visits to park open weekends or visit shows.
The recent World of Park & Leisure Homes Show – Europe’s biggest of its kind – was held at Stoneleigh Park, in Warwickshire, to great acclaim. Read our in-depth review of this super event.
