SeptBlogCaravan special…

Even the most optimistic soul would find it difficult to disagree with the opinion that we haven’t had much luck with the weather this summer. But despite the incessant rain and sheet-grey skies, it’s still a fantastic time to buy a holiday caravan or lodge.

Prices of brand new static caravans start from as little as £15,000 – the same sort of money you could expect to pay for a touring van and substantially less than the price of a motorhome. On top of this, the cost of taking the family to the continent for a fortnight in peak season often amounts to a small fortune. And you’re left with nothing to show for it but (hopefully) happy memories and a few nice photos! Far better to take the plunge and invest in a holiday caravan, in my humble opinion.

The infamous British summer need not be a bar. As we show you in our comprehensive 32-page guide to holiday parks and homes this month (page 51), there are hundreds of sites offering a range of excellent facilities, both inside and out.

The latest holiday caravans are also so comfortable and spacious that staying in is no hardship either.
Gone are the days of sitting elbow-to-elbow around a fold away table and queuing for the chemical toilet!
If you’re still unsure, there are plenty of parks that offer ‘try before you buy’ schemes too.

All of which means there’s never been a better time to take the plunge and buy a holiday home.

As well as the guide, we’ve also got an unmissable Devon parks special this month. Enjoy!
