Pastoral views can be just as attractive as coastal ones and Woodlands Park in East Sussex offers plenty of these to its lodge owners. ‘We have cleared gaps in the woodland and placed the lodges around the sides from where they can see bluebell woods and sheep grazing,’ says managing director, Simon Moir. ‘Many have hot tubs on their verandas. ’

Prices at Woodlands Park range from £120,000 to £300,000 and fractional ownership can be purchased for between £50,000 and £100,000.
The village of Westfield with restaurants, shops and club is nearby and Rye and Battle are a little further afield.

The park has 12-month opening and further details can be obtained from www.thedreamlodgegroup.co.uk.

The Pure Leisure Group has also considered the views to be enjoyed by lodge owners at its park which is 14 miles south of Lake Windermere which opens this May. It is siting 38 prototype units which are a cross between a caravan and a lodge.

‘They will be designed so that none of the windows overlook their neighbours,’ says John Morphet, the company’s owner. ‘Each home will be screened for privacy, yet all of them will have views towards the Yorkshire Dales.’

The new site will open in May and the holiday homes will be priced from £70,000. Fees will be about £3,000 per annum. Further information from www.pureleisuregroup.com.
