OctBlogMore to celebrate!

Phew! It’s been one heck of a summer! But now that the Queen’s Jubilee and the London Olympics – two of the biggest events ever staged within these shores – are over, it’s back to reality.

However, there’s no need to wallow in a post-celebratory come-down as our bumper October issue is the perfect pick-me-up!

This month, we take our regional park roadshow to Kent, the Garden of England. With much of the county located just a Bradley Wiggins’ cycle ride away from London and the Olympic village, it feels like an appropriate choice. We visit four sumptuous park home estates, which are all gold medal-worthy in my eyes. Turn to page eight to decide which site you would reward with the top gong!

On top of this, we review the Country Homes Woodland (page 40) and Omar’s latest incarnation of its popular Sheringham model (page 46). Our very own ‘Queen’ Anne, former PH&HC editor, Anne Webb, gives her expert verdict. In my opinion, both homes give off a regal air!

But if neither of these homes are crowned your champion, don’t despair. There’s also our unmissable preview of the hotly-anticipated Beaulieu park home and caravan show on page 88. There will be more than 50 models to run the rule over at the Dorset based event.

As if that wasn’t enough, we also turn the spotlight on steps, decks and verandas (page 55). Adding a deck area to your park home can be like creating an extra room… particularly if a much-needed Indian Summer is on the way this autumn. Enjoy the issue!
