Internal layout
The spacious accommodation within comprises an entrance hall, large living space with lounge, dining and kitchen areas, an opulent master bedroom with large walk-in dressing room and indulgent en suite, one or two further bedrooms (depending on the floor plan chosen) and a luxury shower room. Throughout there are white panelled ceilings and walls, brushed steel sockets and switches, giving a modern yet authentic look.
The sumptuous lined curtains are in a gorgeous design, dropped into a ‘puddled’ arrangement. How truly fitting that even the way the curtains are hung has a watery theme! In the lounge on the large bi-fold doors and also in the bedroom (as an extra in this instance), there’s a remote control system for the curtains, a really great touch. Another is the in-built sound system piping music throughout to all rooms too.
Although the props don’t usually come with the lodges, we couldn’t help but love these, as together with the Victorian style feature radiators, the rustic seafaring feel was present throughout, and that would be easily replicated by future owners, and indeed great fun to recreate too. This is a lodge with real atmosphere and appeal – you can almost hear the seagulls and waves lapping on the shore nearby as you walk round it, so the name is pretty perfect.
