Exterior

From the outside, the most striking aspect of the Bowmoor is its pine log cladding. Horizontal planking is used for the walls with vertical planks at the gable ends. Doors and windows are uPVC clad in a darker wood shade.

A gable over the main entrance at the side features vertical planking to floor level, all around the glazed panel door.

As with most lodges currently on the market, the Bowmoor has plenty of glazing on the front wall – two French doors with glazed panels at the outside corners.

There are exterior lights on either side of the main entrance door, but no illumination by the French doors.

Main entrance

Stepping through the door, which incorporates three horizontal glazed panels, you enter an open plan area with the diner with lounge beyond, on the left. On the right there is a recessed area, lit by spotlights in the top plinth, and this is a utility area with integrated washer/dryer with a locker cupboard above, and a base cupboard adjacent, also with a top locker.

Straight ahead is a feature wall clad in wide wooden vertical planks, and this is the cloaks area with hooks on the back wall and a bench seat where outdoor shoes can be put on or taken off. Storage baskets fit neatly under this bench.

Prestige has taken care to ensure that floor coverings are kept as clean as possible by carpeting the hall in a dark-coloured material that will absorb moisture and dirt.
