The study area is quite small, comprising a computer desk with all the necessary power points and connections for internet use, and with a drawer pedestal on one side and an executive chair which fits neatly into the kneehole space. Although, at first, this seemed a strange position for a study, on reflection it does have the merit of keeping work away from the relaxation and dining areas.
Adjacent to the study are three steps which lead up to the elevated living space (lounge and dining area). In the past there have been criticisms of homes with elevated dining areas, sunken lounges, etc. because most of the people taking up residence in park homes are not in the first flush of youth and may be a little more susceptible to falls than younger people. There will, of course, be the problem of carrying food from the kitchen to the dining table, but the steps are not steep and there are only three, so hopefully these will not present any problems to those occupying this home.
