Popular with the public
It’s always a good sign if visitors to a new model can imagine themselves in it, and that’s where the Apex hit all the right notes when the new interior was revealed. Launched at The Caravan Extravaganza (The Lawns) late in 2015, the all-new Apex certainly drew a good amount of attention, with visitors commenting on how relaxing and homely it felt.

Summing up the feel of the lodge and feedback from this model version’s first outing, Tom Conman, area sales manager (north), commented: ‘The new Apex not only offers something a bit different to a traditional lodge, it also has a lovely relaxed feel to it, perfect for the leisure market. The lodge went down exceptionally well on both the trade and retail days and I’m sure it will be a firm favourite going forward.’

External features
The Apex as a lodge is easy to identify on a park as it’s pretty unique. Clad in light Canexel here, it’s also available in other colours and claddings and works well in a range of environments and park settings. The high pitched hip roof has a 40 year warranty, and, in addition, the French doors and feature, full length windows to the lounge, gives the front elevation an open and inviting look. Exterior feature lighting adds the perfect finishing touch.

As well as the French doors at the front which would be perfect leading out onto decking, there’s a side entrance near to the dining area, providing handy access to the kitchen for incoming shopping bags.

 Checklist

SIZE: The model shown is a 45ft x 20 residential model built for Lindholme Lakes Fisheries. The Apex is available in a variety of sizes and layouts to suit individual requirements and also works brilliantly as a residential home.  Looking at some of the floorplans, the 45ft x 20 version with three bedrooms, one bathroom and an en-suite offers particularly good use of space while adding that extra appeal with the additional room which could be used for a variety of purposes. Space doesn’t appear to have been compromised anywhere to allow for that, possibly because the layout simply lends itself to that extra room really well.

Key features
• Hip roof and vaulting throughout add to the feeling of space.

• Three bedrooms; a double, twin and single or study.
