MayBlogWelsh Wonder Parks

The Government is now really forging ahead with its attempts to stamp out rogue practices in the mobile home community. Having collected written evidence about the worst of the problem areas like the blocking of home sales and aggressive and intimidatory behavior towards residents , the Government has been interviewing key industry figures and home owners alike.

After a lengthy consultation process, we’re now hopeful that park home residents may finally get more of their rights fully protected in law. Despite many amendments and revisions to the Mobile Homes Act – which passed through Parliament way back in 1983 – park home residents are still being let down by the law.

You can read about the evidence submitted to the Government’s select committee on these matters on page 85. We will be monitoring these issues with interest so look out for more in future issues.

As well as that, we’ve also got a bumper crop of park profiles and homes under review in an exciting May issue.

We have visited FIVE stunning Welsh parks in an attempt to give you a flavour of some of the best park and holiday sites in the region. We also bring you park reports from Devon, Lincolnshire, Sussex and Worcestershire. On the homes front, look out for our expert verdict on a new model from Omar alongside a special report on Homeseeker’s state-of-the-art show centre in Northamptonshire.

Enjoy the issue!
