As we went to press, the annual World of Park & Leisure Homes Show was drawing to a close at Stoneleigh Park, in Warwickshire. This year’s event, Europe’s biggest specialist mobile homes show, boasted 50 stunning park homes and luxury lodges and the crowds responded!
Also on hand were a host of related service and product suppliers and, of course, hundreds of parks were represented, allowing visitors the opportunity to discover the enormous variety of wonderful locations available across the UK and beyond.
A record number of visitors poured into Stoneleigh and everybody we spoke to seemed both delighted and excited with the quality and choice on offer. The ‘wow factor’ was certainly in evidence for 2014!
For the second successive year, PH&HC also invited visitors to vote for their favourite park home and lodge in our hotly contested show competition. All 50 homes received winning comments from showgoers but congratulations should go to Omar for its Heritage (Park Home of the Year category) and to Pathfinder for its County Retreat lodge (Ultimate Lodge of the Year section). Pathfinder’s Devon and Prestige’s Casa Di Lusso were also the respective runners-up in these competitions. Look out for our comprehensive review of the show and these awards in our August issue. For now, we’d like to thank everybody who made the show happen – primarily Pat and Jo Turner, the show organisers, for ensuring everything went so smoothly and the public and exhibitors were so happy with things.
