We last spoke to LEASE’s CEO Anthony Essien just after the organisation had started its work in the park home sector, back in 2013, so we thought now would be a good time to catch up with him, to see how things have been going.

We started by asking Antony why LEASE began operating in the park home sector in the first place? Does it now make up much of LEASE’s overall workload? He explained, ‘We began to operate in the sector with the following aims in mind. Firstly, to ensure that those buying at the outset are well informed in order that their expectations of ownership are met. We also aim to assist older members of society who are park home owners, to continue living independently in their own home. We also aim to empower all park home owners, who are being exploited or preyed upon by unscrupulous or exploitative site owners (for example with home sale blocking or miscalculation of pitch fee increases), to address those issues confidently.
