november blogAfter the balmy summer we’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy, it seems a shame to remind readers about the onset of winter. However, it’s really important, especially for our community.

While our parks might occupy some great countryside and coastal locations, these beauty spots can leave homes – especially older ones – exposed to the elements. In fact, even those who live on city parks would do well to make plans for the coldest season.

Many residents are over-50, while some suffer from mobilty issues too. This makes it crucial to plan ahead. With this in mind, we’ve re-loaded our spectacularly successful Energy Savings Special (page 43).

Whether you’re interested in upgrading insulation levels in your home, need a boiler repair or simply want some tips to make your home warmer, our guide’s a great place to start your planning.

We hope our guide will give you some idea of what’s out there, as well as providing some numbers to call and websites to peruse when doing your research. Aside from our eco special, we also visit parks in Cumbria and Wiltshire. Our Wiltshire park-in-focus, Lillybrook, showcases a stunning new bespoke Omar eco home that is both environmentally-friendly and could also reduce your fuel bills too (page 15).

There’s also more legal help and advice than ever before! We’ve got advice from LEASE on site rules (page 76), a review of the Towergate Insurance-sponsored Bedfordshire roadshow (page 70) and a new monthly Q&A feature, with the expert answers from Park Home Legal Services (page 62).

Enjoy the issue!
