Frances started her park home career in the 1960s when she joined Donnington Castle Caravans which built both residential and holiday homes, and subsequently became a major player in park home manufacture. In fact, Donnington was the first manufacturer to produce a home especially adapted for use by disabled people and their families. Another first was Donnington’s introduction of uPVC-framed windows and doors to park homes, replacing wooden and metal-framed ones which were used previously. On Donnington’s demise in the 1980s, Frances became sales administrator with another park home manufacturer – Stately-Albion. In 1988 Frances moved to ‘the other side’ of the industry – park operation – when she took up her current position at The Berkeley Leisure Group.
Staff on this magazine would like to wish Frances and John every happiness in their future together and on their honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean next month.
