editors blogThere have been plenty of important park home-related matters to digest over the past month. First of all, there was the second reading of the long-awaited Mobile Homes Bill in Parliament on October 19. The Bill promises to shake up our community and improve things for both residents and the industry alike. Don’t miss our in-depth analysis of the key issues in this issue.

While this crucial parliamentary debate was in full swing, the annual Motorhome and Caravan Show took place at Birmingham’s NEC. From the perspective of the park home and holiday caravan industry, the event was an unmitigated success. Showgoers thronged to England’s second city in their thousands and their reaction to the wealth of new mobile homes on display was really positive.

If the new legislation makes the difference to the industry we are all expecting, our industry will have even more to shout about in forthcoming shows and events.

But it’s not all about the new park homes and lodges on the market. I was fascinated to learn of the story of Colin Jarvis, a second-hand park home owner from Hampshire. Through his own hard work, and the help of Park Home Chassis Services’ chassis repair endeavours, Colin has transformed his 30-year-old park home into a thing of beauty. Well done Colin! If other readers have enjoyed similar experiences, I’d love to hear about them so drop me a line on the below email! Finally, we’ve got a super Lincolnshire parks special in this issue.

Enjoy the magazine!
