As you read this the mobile home community will be gearing up for an extremely important month. This September there are three unmissable park and leisure home events to enjoy; two of which take place in and around one of the UK’s most vibrant, up-and-coming cities – Hull. Occupying a prime position on the banks of the River Humber, Hull – made famous by luminaries as deserving or otherwise as poet Philip Larkin and politician John Prescott – has benefitted from a massive regeneration in recent decades. Britain’s tenth biggest city is now a hive of art, culture and, for the month of September, mobile homes. (Actually, with many of the nation’s favourite caravan manufacturers and holiday parks in the vicinity, it’s pretty important to our industry all-year-round.)
Thousands of prospective mobile home buyers will flock to the region for the annual Caravan Extravaganza at The Lawns from 6 to 7 September, while also enjoying the vast array of delectable options of offer at the rival Cottingham Parks Caravan and Lodge Show on the same dates. Both events will showcase some of the best new homes currently on the market. There will also be a chance for visitors to talk to hundreds of park operators and specialist suppliers and service contractors at these events. Needless to say, these East Yorkshire-based events are not to be missed. Neither are our comprehensive guides to both show, which begin on page 71.
But if Hull is too far north for you, don’t despair: September also sees scores of homes arrive at Beaulieu, in Hampshire, for Holiday Caravan 2014. You’ll have to wait for our bumper October issue to find out what you can expect at that top-rated event.
In the meantime, enjoy your September issue, which also includes expert profiles of parks in Essex, Derbyshire and the West Midlands.
