Bella Brodie reports on a budget-friendly home with a pretty design and bags of natural appeal…

Prestige Homeseeker has always made great use of colour, texture and form in its homes, and the Affinity brings a gorgeous colour scheme to a traditional layout well, with several plus points making it stand out on design and practicality.

Launched at the World of Park and Leisure Homes’ Stoneleigh Show, the new Affinity is a real people-pleaser, and it’s no surprise that it has proved popular already.

EXTERNAL FINISH
Distinctive externally thanks to two box bay windows to the lounge clad with complementary cladding, the Affinity is a modern model which would undoubtedly sit well in any park setting.

INTERNAL APPOINTMENT
As the name suggests, the Affinity has instant appeal inside and it’s really eye-catching throughout.

Fresh and light pastel colours and beautiful cotton prints give it an uplifting feel.

We found plenty of visual interest and dashes of inspiration throughout, too.
In short, it’s a real feel-good home, designed to be very practical while presenting great value for money.

ACCOMMODATION AND LAYOUT
An L-shaped internal hall leads to the lounge area, borrowing light from it throughout a glazed window panel.
After the lounge you’re through to the impressive dining space and kitchen, looping back around to the hallway in a pleasing circular route.

The rear door is at the dining end of the kitchen, which could be handy for bringing the shopping in if you’ve a habit of wanting to drop things at waist height using all available surface space.

A family bathroom is opposite a double bedroom, while the master bedroom has a dressing area leading through to a large en suite shower room.

LOUNGE
The Affinity’s lounge is particularly light and bright thanks to the full-length window on the side wall, deep box bay window with handy display space to the front elevation, and that interior window from the hall. In fact, that full-height window to one side creates a picture-window effect, dressed with pretty Roman blinds that tie in with the scatter cushions in pastel shades.

A three-seater sofa is bordered by two accent armchairs in soft pastel pinstripes to either side, and a pedestal lamp behind one of those turns it into a cosy reading corner.

There’s a feature fireplace wall with horizontal cladding in pastel blue-grey, tying in with the lightshades that take the blue shade a little deeper.

Below that there’s a fireplace surround with inset feature electric wood burner-style fire, adding a great visual focal point.

A coffee table in soft grey with a rich oakwood top completes the cosy feel in this space. The overall effect here is so pretty and inviting that all you really want to do is to sit straight down with a cuppa and make yourself at home!
