Willerby has launched its latest holiday home featuring a new look, high-class interior design and a game-changing increase in kitchen storage space.
The Gainsborough’s contemporary interior design is on trend, with a bold colour scheme running throughout. The star of the show is the Gainsborough’s kitchen, which has been expertly created in response to consumer feedback from members of the Willerby Owners Club.
The kitchen offers a 40% increase in storage space1, with new features including canister shelves2 and a vertical storage rack.
Lowered base cabinet plinths allow the cupboards to offer additional space, and a carousel storage unit is included in the corner base cabinet.
The Gainsborough is available in five different-sized layouts. 12ft two-bedroom models come in both 35ft and 38ft lengths, with a 40ft by 14ft model available for those looking for extra space. A three-bedroom model is available at both 12ft and 14ft wide.
Both the 14ft models have the option to upgrade the build of the home to BS 3632 (2015) specification. This makes the Gainsborough the best value model in the Willerby range that can be upgraded to residential specification.
Josh Mills, senior product manager at Willerby, said: “We’re incredibly excited to launch the Gainsborough.
“Consumer research with the Willerby Owners Club indicated that almost all of our owners saw the kitchen as a top three factor in their purchasing decision, and having the maximum space possible was a key factor in which kitchen they would deem to be the best when comparing models.
“We’ve created the Gainsborough around an outstanding kitchen with a number of storage facilities new to Willerby holiday homes, and we couldn’t be happier with the finished product.
“It’s also exciting that the Gainsborough is the first completely new model to be designed and built to our pioneering new sustainability standard, which sets a new benchmark for the holiday homes industry in energy efficiency. The Gainsborough combines style, comfort, space and sustainability in a superb addition to the Willerby range.”
The open-plan lounge includes freestanding two-seater sofas based on the high street’s best-selling model, stylish asphalt scatter cushions, a television media unit with LED lighting and a window-style mirror. A coffee table which doubles up as a “work from home” desk and storage space is available as an option.
With every detail considered, the dining area offers a freestanding dining table with upholstered chairs, and both bedrooms feature headboard panelling and striking gold and grey coordinated bedding packs.
The twin bedroom includes overhead storage cupboards, while the master bedroom features a dressing area with an LED illuminated mirror as standard, decorative pendant lighting, freestanding bedside tables and a graphite vertical radiator, specifically designed for the Gainsborough.
The family bathroom and ensuite WC (12ft models) or washroom (14ft models) include a blue herringbone accent wallboard forming a wall of colour that flows through the bedrooms and bathrooms.
Other optional extras include CanExel® composite timber cladding on the 14ft model, an environmental green rigid vinyl exterior with graphite windows, an internet-ready pack, Bluetooth MP3 system and a mattress upgrade.
Keith Holland, sales director at Willerby, said: “We’re seeing new customers in the holiday homes market, and people who used to go on package holidays and cruises are now embracing the holiday home world.
“This is the most researched model ever developed by Willerby, and that is reflected in the Gainsborough’s design, layout and features. There isn’t another holiday home on the market offering this level of quality for the price.”
All 2023 Willerby holiday homes3, including the Gainsborough, are designed and built to the company’s pioneering Willerby GreEN Standard – a new standard specification for its models to cut their carbon emissions, make them more energy efficient and cheaper to run.
The industry-leading new specification includes upgraded insulation in the floor, ceiling and exterior walls and energy-efficient windows. It will reduce the energy consumption of Willerby’s holiday homes by up to 28%4, compared to models built to the previous specification, cut carbon emissions and deliver a significant saving on energy bills.
The Gainsborough model is available to view at Willerby’s Hull showground, with a starting RRP of £60,850 excluding VAT.
