An insurance company has launched new cover for park and holiday homes. Commercial Express has unveiled its revamped residential park home and leisure home offering, promising customers a wider range of options and greater flexibility.

The product, which is underwritten by A-rated insurers Scor, Canopins, and Ascot Group’s Syndicate 1414 at Lloyds, comes with a choice of three distinct schemes. The types of property covered by the schemes includes residential park homes, static caravans, glamping pods and shepherd’s huts. Log cabins, chalets and lodges used as holiday homes are also covered. Product features include accidental damage as standard, market value or new-for-old, and zero age restrictions on leisure homes.

Optional extras include: legal expenses, accidental damage caused by guests, malicious damage by guests, pedal cycles and sports equipment.

Commercial Express’s managing director, Duncan Pritchard, said: “This is a significant step towards reinventing and improving our park home and leisure offering.”
