An independently-run UK holiday park is in the spotlight after scooping a prestigious international award. We find out more…
Forest Park Outstanding Natural Holidays, situated in North Norfolk, was put on the global map after winning an accolade alongside brands such as Nikon, Cathay Pacific, HSBC, Eurostar and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
Forest Park, a family-run venue boasting a stunning countryside setting of over 100 acres near to the seaside town of Cromer, was awarded bronze in the International Content Marketing Awards.
Its award in the Best Annual Always-On Content Strategy category was for work in partnership with creative agency Newhall Publishing involving the promotion of a raft of holiday park initiatives including new visitor experiences, products and events as well as the launch of an innovative new website.
Simon Gurney, owner, Forest Park, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to see Forest Parkin Norfolk win an international award putting us on the map as a result of our efforts with Newhall Publishing which helped us deliver a new campaign aimed at delighting our visitors even more with the experience of our holiday venue.”
Mr Gurney continued: “The award is really for all our holidaymakers who support us by returning, year after year, and our team who continue to strive to make Forest Park the best it can be and a home from home for visitors. That’s what is important to us. “We are lucky to be situated in the most exceptional countryside by the sea. To be recognised alongside around 30 different countries which took part in the awards, including huge global brands, is so rewarding. “We will continue to build on this success, improving, enhancing and expanding our facilities for our visitors at Forest Park which is a community with a family spirit at its heart, situated within a welcoming local community.”
Rob John, Managing Director of The Content Marketing Association (CMA), which organised the awards, said: “This year’s extraordinary participation showcased entries pouring in from close to 30 countries.
“Winning this award isn’t just great for your team – it’s a global triumph that comes with widespread acclaim and international recognition.”
Forest Park is no stranger to success – its dedication to preserving the beauty of its natural surroundings has seen it win the national David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation every single year for the past 22 years.
Much of its setting is unique because it was the resulting artistry of the renowned 19th century landscape designer Humphry Repton, considered the successor to Capability Brown.
Forest Park offers people a variety of holiday options from an area for pitching a tent or bringing a tourer to the hire of a glamping cabin or a holiday cottage as well as the opportunity to purchase your very own holiday home.
The awards winners were determined by a panel of over 160 content marketing experts from various sectors and announced at a recent event held at the Barbican Centre in London.
