Harrison Holidays has used HSBC UK funding to acquire Crofthead Holiday Park, which occupies 85-acres on the coast of Ayrshire in Scotland.
HSBC UK supported the acquisition, increasing the family-run business’ pitches by 575, bringing their overall pitch ownership to more than 3,000 across
its ten UK holiday parks.

Crofthead Holiday Park consists of 50 luxury lodges and static caravans for holidaymakers to book and 25 pitches for rent. Holiday home purchasing options are also available, with 650 accommodated across the grounds.

Following completion of the acquisition, Harrison Holidays is planning to expand the park by adding approximately 130 to 150 new static caravan and lodge plots. This expansion also secures the jobs of 24 full-time employees at the park, bringing the company’s total UK workforce to over 200. William Harrison, one of the directors at Harrison Holidays, said: “Crofthead Holiday Park provides customers old and new with the opportunity to enjoy Ayshire’s scenic coastline and picturesque countryside, in addition to the many popular attractions, such as family favourite Heads of Ayr Farm Park and historic Dunure Castle.

“As a family-run business, we are always strategic with growth and expansion plans, and HSBC UK was a great partner in supporting our vision.”

Established in 1974, Harrison Holidays owns and operates ten holiday parks in some of the UK’s finest coastal and countryside locations, including Cumbria, Northumberland and Suffolk. The parks offer a variety of accommodation including luxury lodges, cosy cottages, hot tub holidays and glamping pods as well as welcoming tourers and motorhomes.
