The Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show returns to Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre from 22 to 27 February, and there’s plenty for our sector to get excited about…
After what feels like forever, the hotly anticipated Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show returns to the NEC this February!
Visitors to the event, which runs from 22 to 27 February, will get the chance to step inside lodges, holiday caravans and park homes from the likes of: Carnaby Caravans; Omar Park Homes; Pemberton Park & Leisure Homes; Prestige Park & Leisure Homes; Victory Leisure Homes; and Willerby.
As the show’s name suggests, alongside these homes there will also be a wealth of other types of mobile homes and caravans, from tourers to motorhomes to glamping pods. Leading UK and European leisure vehicle manufacturers and dealers, make up the mix of more than 350 exhibitors across five halls of the NEC.
First opportunity
The show offers the first opportunity of 2022 for visitors to step inside and compare newly launched park homes, caravans, leisure homes and lodges in one place, meet the manufacturers, and get advice about all aspects of the lifestyle.
Impartial advice from experts for existing owners and those interested in buying into the lifestyle will also be on offer along with talks and presentations from organisations and enthusiasts across outdoor leisure to inspire visitors about places to go and activities to enjoy while on their adventures.
On top of this, visitors can look forward to hearing from, and meeting, famous faces from the world of outdoor adventure including: Matt Baker; Matt Allwright; Andrew Ditton; James Forrest; Lizzie Carr MBE; Kat Bird; Lizzie Daly; Martin Dorey; Miranda Krestovnikoff; Lola Culsan; John Weller; Andy Torbet; Marcus Leach; and Andrew Cotton, who will be heading up the show’s all-star speaker roster.
Each day the Inspiration Theatre will feature talks from some of the UK’s biggest outdoor stars, all sharing their experiences in the great outdoors and providing ideas about places to go and activities to enjoy while out and about. BBC presenter and housewives’ favourite, Matt Baker will be showcasing how exploring the countryside has impacted his life for the better.
Martin Dorey, author of One Man and His Campervan and the bestselling series Take the Slow Road will talk about his latest travels in France, and James Forrest (aka Mountain Man) will be at the show all week, talking about his record-breaking 500-mile walk of the National Three Peaks, sharing his tips for first-time hikers and his favourite UK day walks.
Book your hol!
As well as experiencing the biggest display of holiday caravans, park homes, lodges and leisure vehicles anywhere in the country, visitors will be able to research and book their 2022 holidays from a superb choice of holiday parks and campsites, buy essential accessories, and find a fantastic range of family and adventure tents – pitched-up ready to explore.
Free caravan towing courses, motorhome manoeuvring lessons and campervan test drives provided by leading member organisations, the Camping & Caravanning Club and the Caravan & Motorhome Club, will be available for visitors (aged over 25 with a driver’s licence) to get a feel for the different types of leisure vehicle available, brush-up on their driving/towing skills and build confidence behind the wheel.
NCC Events chairman, Anthony Trevelyan, said: ‘We can’t wait to welcome those who love the freedom and adventure of holiday caravan, touring caravan, motorhome and camping holidays back to the NEC in February and extend a particularly warm welcome to those new to the lifestyle joining us for the first time.
‘Nothing beats live events and we’re excited to offer visitors the opportunity to get inside and compare the different layouts, fittings and innovations from the best in the industry so that they can make an informed buying decision. The show will also be jam-packed with insight, talks and training for beginners and experienced leisure vehicle owners alike.’
