Proving that it isn’t all doom and gloom for business, despite Brexit woes, one of the largest family-run holiday park operators in the UK, John Fowler Holidays, which is headquartered in Devon, secured a multi-million pound finance facility from HSBC UK to redevelop two of its sites in the South West.
The company used the eight-figure funding package to upgrade two of its parks, St Ives Holiday Village in Cornwall and Sandy Meadows Holiday Park in Berrow, Somerset.
St Ives Holiday Village, which is set in more than 100 acres of mature woodland, has seen the installation of 140 luxury holiday lodges, as well as a complete redevelopment of the park layout. The new development has also created 12 new jobs.
Sandy Meadows, close to the Cheddar Gorge, is a new site for the business and has seen the installation of 40 new luxury lodges, each with balconies, hot tubs and countryside views. The new lodges have created three new jobs
Martyn Fowler, Managing Director of John Fowler Holidays, said: ‘We’ve banked with HSBC UK for 10 years and the team, now led by our relationship director Paul Lane, has been incredibly supportive of our ongoing expansion and improvement plans.’
