Two top accolades were served up this summer to Beverley Holidays in Paignton, Devon, after the holiday park group twice gained gold in two prestigious award schemes.
The family-run business says the honours are the icing on the cake during a landmark year in which Beverley is celebrating its 65th anniversary.
The most recent of its victories came in the 2023 Torbay Weekly Inspiring Business Awards when Beverley took the prestigious gold Tourism Business of the Year award.
Beverley was named winner by judges in front of a 300-strong audience of VIP guests at the glittering gala awards ceremony at Torquay’s Riviera International Conference Centre.
It’s the second year that the park has claimed the top title in the competition which highlights the region’s most successful and enterprising businesses.
The award came hot in the heels of news that Beverley Holidays had been awarded the coveted AA Gold Pennant, the most prestigious award given out by the AA to its highest rated parks.
In order to qualify for the award, Beverley was subjected to a rigorous inspection regime which scrutinised almost every aspect of its facilities and services.
The park achieved an overall excellence score of 90%, and in the opinion of the inspection team can truly be described as a caravan and camping park right at the top of its game.
Director of Beverley Holidays, Nicola Furneaux, said: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be adding not just one but two new accolades to our awards total.
“These are both very well deserved plaudits for our hard-working team who pride themselves on going above and beyond the expectations of our guests.
“The awards are particularly well timed as this year we celebrate 65 years of Beverley Holidays welcoming holidaymakers to our family-run parks on the English Riviera.
“It’s fantastic to think that more than six decades on we are still considered the best in the business!”
Beverley credits its award successes both to its “brilliant and hardworking” team, and to a series of exciting new investments designed to inject some added style to guests’ staycations.
They include a brand-new holiday home development which launched in Easter this year, boasting super-luxury holiday homes complete with EV charging points.
For those who prefer sleeping beneath the stars, Beverley Holidays’ touring and camping guests can also expect a sprinkling of glamour thanks to a new spa-inspired facility building which opened in April.
Set in the heart of the English Riviera, Beverley Holidays comprises a group of holiday parks offering boutique holiday caravans, luxury lodges, touring pitches, and a wealth of guest facilities.
