Experienced park operator Tony Barney has purchased the Lifestyle Living group just three years after selling the business

Residential and holiday parks owned and run by Lifestyle Living UK Ltd will continue to operate as normal under new ownership.

FRP Advisory, the business advisory firm, has sold the business and assets of Lifestyle Living UK to a group owned and operated by Tony Barney, the experienced park operator.

The sale was sealed after four months of continuous trading at all Lifestyle Living UK Ltd sites across Suffolk, Norfolk and Cumbria.

The administrators concluded that the offer from Tony Barney, who will continue to trade the business and its sites under the Lifestyle Living brand, offered the best value and certainty in the interests of all creditors and other stakeholders.

The sale also secures all the jobs of permanent staff, totalling around 30, and spread across the sites. Forward bookings for the holiday rentals parts of the business remained particularly robust.

Lifestyle Living’s parks are based in: Carlton Manor Holiday Park, Carlton Colevillle near Lowestoft, Suffolk; Carlton Meres, Carlton, near Saxmundham, Suffolk; Redhill Park, Watton, Norfolk; Haveringland Hall Country Park, Cawston, near Norwich, Norfolk; Lakeland View, Netherton, near Egremont, Cumbria; Silecroft Holiday Park, Silecroft, near Whicham, Cumbria.

Tony Barney was owner and chairman of Lifestyle Living for four years before selling the business in 2014.

Mr Barney, who operates a number of parks throughout the UK, including Countrywide Parks and Lifestyle Living NI (Northern Ireland), said: ‘It is great to be back in at Lifestyle Living and I look forward to re-invigorating the sites so that they can serve another generation of holiday-users and lodge owners with the high standards they have come to expect. With more than 30 years of experience in the holiday and residential parks sector, I could see an opportunity to come back to a business which I helped build up and take it on to a new level.

‘I remain committed to investing in locations which, like those of Lifestyle Living, offer tranquillity for residents, yet remain within easy access to towns or villages with essential amenities. I welcome approaches from other park owners who are looking to secure a confidential sale of their park.’
