Luxury lodge and holiday home manufacturer Victory Leisure Homes is actively encouraging the staycation boom of the past couple of years, which has been a very busy time for the company, leading to it tripling its production of homes in 2021.
It is now opening a new 200,000 sq.ft factory in Hull to keep up with demand.
Victory points out that thousands of holidaymakers have been facing delays renewing their passports, with an estimated 500,000 applications in line to be processed at one point, so why not holiday in the UK instead and avoid all the hassle?
In 2021, spending on camping and caravanning trips in Great Britain reached an estimated £2.7 billion, an increase of 77 per cent compared to 2020.
Gary Corlyon, MD of Victory Leisure Homes, explained: ‘Over the past two years the nation has experienced the wide range of benefits that come with holidaying in the UK, in an array of incredible destinations. In fact, 4.5 million Brits took their first camping or caravanning holiday during the pandemic, with one in five adults having been camping or caravanning since the start of Covid-19. Come wind, rain or shine, there’s a staycation to suit everybody.’
