Park home residents are a patriotic lot. We find out more about a Dorset park who hosted a special coffee morning to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Following our recent report on the festivities to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday at Oaktree Park, in Hampshire, (PH&HC June, pages 22, 23, 24, 26), we’ve learned of more parks who held similar events.
Shirley Bayliss, of Beaulieu Gardens Park Homes, in Christchurch, Dorset, sent us some great photos of the site’s residents celebrating the Queens 90th, as well as two park residents’ 70th birthdays. Shirley explained: ‘We live on a small community of 15 residential park homes and 20 holiday homes on the edge of the River Stour – it’s a really beautiful place!
‘At our usual Wednesday coffee morning, we decided to mark our monarch’s special birthday. We had bubbly and lots of party food and cake. A fabulous time was had by all!’
