We cover residential offerings as well as the country’s best holiday parks, too. It’s hardly surprising that both holidaymakers and retirees flock to the land of salmon and scotch. Its beautiful glens, rolling hills and stunning vistas always have an immediately relaxing effect on me whenever I’m lucky enough to visit (as does the scotch!) In our special, we also tackle the differing legislation that applies to Scottish parks, as opposed to those in England and Wales. Changes were made to the Scottish legislation as recently as 2013. We explain all on page 50. It’s an ongoing process though – there’s currently a Government consultation doing the rounds that aims to improve things for Scottish residents still further. For details about how to participate in that, turn to page 84.
Finally, we get the lowdown on the impressive economic contribution Scottish holiday parks have made from the latest British Holiday & Home Parks Association’s conference (see page 99).
But if Scotland’s not for you, don’t despair! We also feature parks in Devon, Surrey and Somerset in our usual intrepid travails (reviews start from page 12).Enjoy the issue!
