A longer year

A longer yearLeading operator, Park Holidays UK, has scored a victory for holiday home owners by winning consent for extending the holiday year at two of its popular south coast parks. Coghurst Hall Holiday Park, in Hastings, and nearby Beauport Holiday Park, in St Leonards, will now remain open for 50 weeks of the year.

They join many of the other 23 holiday parks in the group for which Park Holidays UK has successfully applied for site licence extensions over the past 12 months.

Previously with ten-month licences, which were increased to 11 months last year, the two East Sussex parks will now close for just two weeks each February for planned improvements.

Demand for holiday homes that can be visited almost anytime is constantly increasing, according to Park Holidays UK director Tony Clish, who explained, ‘Part of the pleasure is in experiencing a region throughout the four seasons, and enjoying breaks at less busy times of the year when roads and attractions are quieter.’
