Park operator goes snooker loopy!Wyldecrest Parks has sponsored the prestigious £300,000 snooker championship grand final for the first time.

The tournament, held at the Guild Hall in Preston, was called the Wyldecrest Park Homes Players’ Championship and the finals were at the end of March.

The world’s top players, including Ronnie O’Sullivan, John Higgins, Ding Junhui and Shaun Murphy, competed for the winning prize of £100,000.

Wyldecrest is one of the largest residential mobile park home and holiday lodge operators in the UK, priding itself on having high quality parks and giving residents a peaceful and stress free life.

Wyldecrest Parks chairman Alfie Best said, ‘Our residents are great snooker fans and we were delighted to be once again sponsoring such a high quality event with some of the world’s top players competing.’


‘There was a great atmosphere and we saw some terrific action. The skill of the players never ceases to amaze me.’

World Snooker Chairman, Barry Hearn, said, ‘Wyldecrest has shown tremendous support for snooker by sponsoring a range of tournaments in recent years.

‘The tournament was televised live on British Eurosport, Eurosport and broadcasters throughout Asia to an audience of millions so they received fantastic exposure.

‘We were thrilled to be going back to the Guild Hall for a major event for the first time in nine years and the atmosphere was cracking.’
