Year round opening for Staffordshire holiday park

Glencote Caravan Park in Station Road, Cheddleton, has been given permission by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council to remain open for 12 months of the year. Previously, it was closed during January. The park will be able to accommodate up to 100 holiday ‘units’ – a mixture of static and touring caravans, tents, motorhomes and a warden/staff unit. Park owner, Tom Burnside, said there had been increasing demand for ‘new year opening’ in recent years with many people wanting to take a holiday over the Christmas period and running into January, or to celebrate the new year away from home but in affordable accommodation suitable for family use.

The application relates to the whole site and also hopes to achieve a greater degree of flexibility in the way it can be used, with regard to the number of static caravans.
